18 Things I Wish Someone Told Me When I Was 18

       
This morning I was reading a book at my favorite coffee shop when an 18-year-old kid sat down next to me and said, “That’s a great read, ain’t it?”  So we started chatting.
He told me he was getting ready to graduate from secondary school in a couple of weeks and then immediately starting his college career in the fall.  “But I have no clue what I want to do with my life,” he said.  “Right now I’m just going with the flow.”
And then, with eager, honest eyes, he began asking me one question after the next:

A lot of people tie down their happiness to circumstances and attitudes from other people... well.. i don't, i make my own mood and happiness. its a bad habit that we pick up and keep.
am not saying people wont piss you off and beguile you, as a matter of fact they will do it to the extremes. but....
You ultimately become what you repeatedly do.  If your habits aren’t helping you, they’re hurting you.  Here are a few examples of the acts that will steal your happiness if you let them:
