TAKE A STAND

Learning to take a stand is not as easy we pull it off to be.

You may be up against a big challenge today, but that means you have a big destiny. The size of your problem is an indication of the size of your future. You can’t change situations you don’t take responsibility for.

– Sigmund Freud once said, “Most people do not really want freedom, because freedom involves responsibility, and most people are frightened of responsibility.” Don’t let this be you. When you blame others for what you’re going through, you deny responsibility – you surrender power over that part of your life
It is your resistance to “what is” that causes your suffering. – Remember, happiness is allowing yourself to be perfectly OK with “what is,” rather than wishing for and worrying about “what is not.” “What is” is what’s supposed to be, or it would not be. The rest is just you, arguing with life. Think about that for a minute. This means your suffering only ever occurs when you resist how things are.
You cannot control everything that happens to you; you can only control the way you respond to what happens. In your response is your power. You have been given a new day to start afresh so whatever circumstance you find yourself right now, or mistake you have made, know that you have been given a chance atleast to make it work, make it happen and make it right.

Say the words and watch it be...
whatever you believe and speak, happens!
Forget the pain, the heartbreaks, the misery and disappointments... just numb that feeling, pray to God that knows your end and rise up believing that it is settled and nothing, NO ONE is responsible for your happiness.

When grace is upon your life, even if you hide in a corner, people will come looking for you.
A good one to remember - "What other people think of me is none of my business."

One of the highest places you can get to is being independent of the opinions of other people,
We all start off as vessels of clay. We’ve got faults and shortcomings. All we can see is the dirt, the clay, but underneath all that clay is a vessel of gold. God made you to shine.
"Be deaf, be blind, be dead to gossip, and it will grow disgusted with you and select a more sensitive victim.

Over every mountain is a path, although it may not be seen from the valley."

~ Theodore Roethke

If you’re only going to be happy if everything happens your way, then you’re setting yourself up for disappointment. A mature attitude is, “All is well when my prayers get answered, and all is well when they don’t.”
Sometimes we think, “My life is so routine.” But, we should be thankful for a routine, everyday life. Don’t take for granted the family, friends and opportunities you've been blessed with. Keep things in perspective.
