unbroken chords III

Its funny how time flies when your with the person you love, it fades away into nothingness like it never existed prior to that occasion.

Osas came like an answered prayer and all i wanted to do was claim him, have him, my answered prayer and all, he doted on me after he came back from his sojourn in Asia and i felt really loved....
we would drive down to town and go hang out together with his friends and he had eyes for only ...or so i thought.
**************************************************************************
Three (3) times in a week we hung out and partied till morning, then during the day he'll go to work leaving me at home to sleep and prepare for my night shift. if it was a day i needed to go to the market, he'll take a break from the office and come take me to the market . well shop together and in the midst of it look for trouble....(hahahah) and find solemn moments to share a laugh.
Our relationship was characterized with passion, love, quarrels and fights, but above all FRIENDSHIP. we teased each other so bad, people started to enjoy it.we did everything together including sleep together(*winks*).
********************************************************************************
On Sunday morning we chased each other round the house arguing who will bathe the dogs Jack and Jackie. these Rottweilers were a bunch of crazy babies , so at times it was overwhelming doing the grooming alone, so we'd end up doing it together- grab a smoke, a bite then into the shower. rushing to church became paramount as we always found a way to go late. on a particular Sunday we went late and church was almost done. we laughed all through and practically sat in the car till people started trooping out. (still laughing till now)
On other Sundays its Chinese cuisine all the way and we'll first start by warning each other not to order for things we couldn't eat o, nobody get money for Chinese bullshit Osas would say to me in between chuckles....
It was truly a match made in .....well not heaven else it would never have ended, but life was good, great sef, better even, i thanked GOD everyday for giving me a chance to love someone so selflessly without misgivings as before. it was truly a mystic gift
but little did i know down the line there was a storm brewing and i wasn't prepared for the rain.
this rain would come in the form of Osa's family friend who started to sew seeds of discord between me and his family, she kept insinuating how i wasn't good enough for Osas, coupled with the fact that we were from different tribes, he is Edo and i am Ibo and this started creating doubts in their hearts. soon they started questioning every thing i did, from my dress code to my job it was hell on earth, soon gossips made me a choice topic and everywhere i went to my name was on thier lips.
Soon i would learn that at times of strife and difficulty you need to give ear to that "still small voice" that keeps talking yet we ignore and go right ahead to do what our so called 'Big Head'' says to us.
Well i didn't and i fell into a trap, a trap laid for me by my detractors who hadn't seen Osas happy like that in a long time and knew it wasnt from them, grow green with jealosy.
did i tell you that the ''so called" family friend was a lady who was betrothed to him (Osas) and he didn't accept..... to be continued
